Can Beer Remove Relaxer from Hair?

Here is my response to help debunk the myth:

unfortunately this is misinformation.
Beer (stout) can also damage your cuticle and strip your hair if you have color in your hair.
Also people might say what about Coke. No it cannot.
 if your hair is already natural and you straighten it, some people use beer which contains protein to help revert NATURAL straighten hair back to normal.
A better option will be to use a protein treatment on your natural hair that you straighten.
Since a perm is “permanent”, your hair won’t go back to its natural state. But it can give you a nice wavy texture instead of a stick straight one that is so common right after a relaxer. Beer’s proteins also helps strengthens damaged hair. It’s actually used to set curls so maybe that’s where this idea started in the first place.

Neutralizing Shampoo cannot turn relaxed hair to natural hair. The job of this type of shampoo is to restore hair's natural pH preventing damage to freshly relaxed hair.
