Why You Should Never Use Baking Soda and Apple Cider Vinegar in your Hair

Baking soda and apple cider vinegar should not be used together on hair because the combination can be too harsh and damaging. Baking soda is a strong alkaline substance, while apple cider vinegar is a strong acid. Mixing them can create a chemical reaction that can:

1. Strip the hair of its natural oils, leading to dryness and brittleness.

2. Damage the hair cuticle, leading to rough, frizzy hair.

3. Cause irritation and burning on the scalp.

It's best to use either baking soda or apple cider vinegar separately, in moderation, and with a gentle conditioning treatment afterwards to restore moisture and balance to the hair.
