Why does my natural hair feel hair after blow drying it?

When blow-drying natural hair, it can sometimes feel dry or rough due to the heat and manipulation. Here are some reasons why this might happen:

Damage to the cuticle: Blow-drying can cause friction and heat damage to the hair cuticle, leading to dryness and roughness.

Moisture loss: The heat from blow-drying can strip the hair of its natural oils and moisture, leaving it feeling dry and brittle.

Over-manipulation: Using excessive force or tugging on the hair while blow-drying can cause breakage and lead to dry, rough patches.

To combat this, try using a heat protectant spray or cream before blow-drying, reduce heat settings, use a diffuser attachment, or incorporate nourishing hair masks and leave-ins to keep your hair hydrated and healthy.
