Post Covid Hair Loss also known as PCHL is caused by temporary hair loss after a person has been diagnosed with COVID-19. This type of hair loss is normal after fever of an illness. Most people start noticing it months after recovering from Covid. This type of hair loss is actually hair shedding known as telogen effluvium. This can last from six to nine months before it stops. When your hair starts to grow back you will see short length of hair. If you discover a rash or itchiness, it is important to see your dermatologist. 

COVID-19 has also been known to impact various alopecia-related diseases such as androgenetic alopecia, anrieta and effluvium because it affects stress and physiological factors.
