Why is Vaseline bad for natural hair?

 

Vaseline is not recommended for natural hair because it is a petroleum-based product that can create a barrier on the scalp and hair strands, potentially clogging hair follicles and pores. This can hinder hair growth and cause dryness, as it prevents moisture from penetrating the hair. It's better to use hair products specifically designed for natural hair that promote moisture and nourishment without blocking the scalp's natural processes.
