On the Train and Karen's Body Beautiful

On to our next location....

We decided to take the Metra. The girls had so much fun riding on the train. Lil Sis loves the Disney  show, Chugginton, so this was the highlight of her day.

The one hour train ride went very fast and I caught up on some reading and got an Ah-ha moment.

Now... the hair.

My hair was flat twisted last Thursday using Karen's Body Beautiful Butter Love (Lavender Vanilla).
My initial quick review... I love it!! The smell was divine. The Man keep on smelling my hair. LOL! It's very thick in consistency, but melts in your finger after use. The shine was not as fantastic but the product left my hair SO SOFT!!  The ingredients are great...almost edible. This product is also silicone free, sulfate free, paraben free, protein free, and glycerin free.  What more can you ask for?

Ingredients: Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii), Cocoa Butter (Theobroma Cacao) , Mango Butter (Mangifera Indica) , Jojoba Butter (Simmondsia Chinensis), Aloe Butter, Essential and/or Fragrance Oils (Parfum), Grapefruit Seed Oil (Citrus Paradisi) & Vitamin E (Tocopherol)

Have you tried Karen's Body Beautiful Butter Love before? What was your experience?

  1. Love the quote from Chicorro.

Yes, I have the butter love in the very same scent. Your right it smells wonderful. I also agree the shine could be better, I hardly get any shine at all from any of her butters, but the moisture level is great!.

I am a fan of KBB for the moisture factor, but after I use up what I have both the super duper butter, and the butter love, along with sweet ambrosia. I really don't think I will buy any of them again. There are a wealth of other companies many up and coming that have fabulous products . That bring the moisture and shine.

It seems KBB left a bit of a cast on my hair as well with my oldest daughters hair, it makes it look dull like. Did this happen to your hair upon using ?

    Thanks for posting, take care.

    1. Yes, I do agree with you. The shine is really not there. I do think I have a bit of a cast too. I am thinking of trying it next time with some almond and castor oil to see if I can get more shine.

  2. I've never tried this product but I like the ingredients. I know you said it melts when you rub it but I'm a little concerned about the consistency. I try to watch what I put in my dreads to prevent build-up.

    How much did it cost?

    1. The Butter Love costs around $16. I did not experience any build up when I used the product, however, I did not get much shine and I had a gray cast which I did not like. The moisture was excellent though.
