Benefits and Dangers of Using Aloe Vera on Natural Hair

Benefits and Dangers of Using Aloe Vera on Natural Hair DiscoveringNatural

Move over COCONUT OIL, Aloe Vera is Trending now! But before you rush out and buy that Aloe Vera leaf, WATCH THIS VIDEO.

According to some people, Aloe Vera is the treandy natural hair remedy to fix all. Aloe Vera for Hair Loss Treatment.... Aloe Vera for Softer hair.... Aloe Vera for Dandruff... Aloe Vera for Frizz. The list goes on and on.

Aloe Vera contains enzymes that repairs dead skin cells on scalp

Benefits of Aloe Vera
- Repairs dead skin cellls
- Reduces dandruff
- Conditions hair leaving it shiny and smooth
- Maintains the pH of scalp
- Promotes hair growth and reduces hair loss
: aloe vera to regrow hair

Aloe Vera Hair Treatments
- As a pre poo and detangler
- As a conditioner and humectant on natural hair
- For dandruff remedies

Dangers
- Sharp Spikes
- Humectant use in dry climate
- Improper Straining
- Low Porosity Hair
- Aloe Build Up

Additional information to know:
The aloe plants pH and the harvested location where it is planted can affect the pH of the aloe vera. The pH for Aloe Vera is usually between 4.5 and 5.5, that is why it is great for the scalp which has similar pH. However, if the soil is poor and does not have a healthy proper soil pH, it can affect the plant. It is important to know that Aloe Plant is a TOUGH plant that can be quite resilient and keeps it pH very well. However, if the pH of the soil is too far off to the left, the aloe plant can actually be more acidic and if it too far off to the right, then it can be too alkaline in nature.

How to DYE Hair AT HOME | New Natural Hair Color | Purple Hair Dye DiscoveringNatural

Do you want to COLOR your HAIR yourself WITHOUT DAMAGE? Well, here is How to Dye Your Hair. The FUN WAY! Even perfect for kids!

I decided to color my hair myself. I chose the color purple to give me that purple rain hair color. It is so SIMPLE to color your natural hair without damage and for fun!!

What do you need to get this done?
You will need a cream based product, like a moisturizer or a leave in conditioner. I am using my favorite leave in conditioner:
SheaMoisture Raw Shea Butter Restorative Conditioner - http://amzn.to/2dsQXWD

You will also need some high pigmented eyeshadow. You can also use blush, but I find eye shadows more pigmented. I used
Covergirl Eye Enhancers Sombra Realzadora | fard Accent

Let's mix all these products together and create a purple dye.

Next, time to style your hair.

Start off by moisturizing your hair, and then apply the colored cream dye to your hair... and that's it

Should You Use GREASE on NATURAL HAIR?

Should You Use GREASE on NATURAL HAIR? DiscoveringNatural

Do you use GREASE on your natural hair? If so, how is it working for you? Find out how to properly use it, why you should not use it, why you should use grease, and so much more.

Is Grease really bad for natural hair? Grease is a sealant and not a true moisturizer because it locks in the moisture that already is on the hair, be it water or another water-based moisturizer. Remember, if you choose to use grease, make sure to properly cleanse your scalp with a sulfate shampoo and deep condition your hair afterwards.

Uncombable Hair Syndrome

Uncombable Hair Syndrome | DiscoveringNatural

If you have never heard of UNCOMBABLE HAIR SYNDROME,  you are not alone. Neither have I. until today.

Here is more jnformation about it from rarediseases.info.nih.gov
Read more:  https://rarediseases.info.nih.gov/diseases/5404/uncombable-hair-syndrome/cases/18000#1175

"What is uncombable hair syndrome?
Uncombable hair syndrome (UHS) is a rare disorder of the hair shaft of the scalp. It is usually characterized by silvery-blond or straw-colored hair that is disorderly; stands out from the scalp; and cannot be combed flat. It may first become apparent from 3 months of age to 12 years of age.[1] Most cases are isolated, but in some cases it has been described in association with other diseases, such as ectodermal dysplasiasBork syndrome and Angel-shaped phalangoepiphyseal dysplasia. The syndrome has been found to be caused by mutations in the genes PADI3, TGM3, and TCHH. These three genes code for proteins that are involved in hair shaft formation.[2] The syndrome appears to be inherited in an autosomal recessive fashion; however, cases inherited in an autosomal dominant manner may also exist, as there are other genes involved in hair formation. The condition often spontaneously regresses in late childhood.[3] Some published studies suggest that biotin may improve the condition.[4]
