Last Saturday, I cornrowed my hair and twisted my bangs. I undid my cornrows and 2 strand twists. Here is the outcome.
I started using Batana oil on my scalp May 31st 2024. You can also find it here http://hotana.com/discoveringnatural March 2024 Here is my 3 weeks result. How I use it, I use it every 2 days and apply to my scalp and edges. I do not rinse it out. On wash day , every 2 weeks, I apply it on my scalp and hair, cover for 30 mins and then shampoo and deep condition my hair. I then apply my leave in and reapply the Batana oil on scalp and edges and also my moisturizer on my hair. The benefits of using batana oil for hair include- Hair growth: Batana oil contains nutrients that can help promote hair growth. - Moisturizing: Batana oil is a good moisturizer for hair, helping to keep it hydrated and healthy. - Hair strengthening: The fatty acids present in batana oil can help strengthen hair, reducing the chances of breakage. - Natural hair dye: Batana oil can be used to restore natural color to gray and white hair. - Shine: Batana oil can add shine to hair, leaving it...
Growing up as an only girl, my mother would take me to the hairdresser every Saturday. It was a ritual. After pancakes, then it was time to go to get my hair done. Afraid to repeat history, I started teaching my girls how to care for their hair. When we do our weekly wash and daily maintenance, I tell them what I am doing. Yes, I do use silly references, but make sure to tag along the real name of the ...
Get To Know Me My name is Sola Awe and I am so happy you found this page. I am a licensed hair coach and have been a natural hair enthusiast since 2011 after I decided to transition my oldest daughter to natural hair. I have two daughters who are both natural and lovers of natural hair. My husband is also an advocate in his own way. I have a presence on social media as DiscoveringNatural that is dedicated to helping people be comfortable with their natural hair and learn how to easily care for it. As a child, natural hair was not embraced and when I became an adult, I struggled with understanding my hair. When my oldest daughter was 4, I struggled with caring for her hair and did not have any resource to help me out, so I decided to relax her hair. After a friend invited me a natural hair event in Houston, Texas, where I reside, I knew I have found a new passion. The next day, we started my daughter's transition to natural and I followed afterwards with mine. When I discove...
